"GEI" together with China TEFL Network works with Long Island University and ASPECT English School to help qualified college graduates in Asia Pacific to come to the U.S. to enter the following programs:

MBA Program for International Executives (completed in one year)
Obtain an MBA degree from the AACSB accredited College of Management at Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus. This intensive program starts in September and ends in August of the following year - no summer vacation.

TESOL Program (completed in one year)

Obtain an MA in TESOL degree from the renowned School of Education at Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus (TESOL stands for "Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages".) This program prepares those students who want to teach English to speakers of other languages.

Combine English Classes and MBA/TESOL Program in One Location
ASPECT English School conducts English classes on C.W. Post Campus. This means that one can attend ASPECT English classes in June, July and August, and start MBA or TESOL in September - all in one location.

ASPECT English School offers English classes for international students on 27 locations across the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia. You can attend the English classes in any of the 27 locations.

This Master of Art degree in "TESOL" program is designed to meet the growing demand for qualified English teachers in Asia, Latin America and other parts of the world. The program provides the students with a solid English foundation and trains the students in effective language teaching skills. It takes one year to complete the program, from September to August of the following year. Twelve courses are required, four courses each in Fall, Spring, and Summer:

TOEFL and I-20

Students who have taken TOEFL should submit the TOEFL report with their University admission applications. However, the University will issue an I-20 to the students who have met all other admission requirements without a TOEFL report. In lieu of the TOEFL requirement, those students who have not taken TOEFL or whose TOEFL score is less than 500 must complete a special English course for foreign students in the first semester at the University.

To Apply for Admission
Long Island University has engaged Global Education Initiatives, Inc. ("GEI") to assist in the selection process and to provide counseling to interested students from Asia. To apply for admission to the TESOL program, contact a GEI representative in your home country or contact GEI directly. The final application package should include:
1. Application fee, $30.
2. International student admission application form (2 pages).
3. Personal statement about your background, goals, aspirations, etc.
4. Official transcripts (English version) from the colleges or universities where you are graduating or have graduated from.
5. I-20 application form (1 page).
6. Financial statement from your bank showing that you will have enough financial resources ( $32,000 or more) to cover the expense of the entire program. (In lieu of this, you can have a sponsor - your parent, relative or friend - indicate that he or she is willing to pay for your expense and is capable of doing so financially.)
7. TOEFL report, 500 or higher
8. Two recommendation letters from your professors.
Note: No GRE or GMAT is required.

MBA for International Executives

The Mission
The years ahead will demand more and better trained managers all over the world. Globalization of economies, growing competition in virtually every industry, explosions in information and communications technologies ... will all result in new challenges to managers and business leaders. The MBA Program for International Executives at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University is designed to prepare managers to meet the new challenges.
Accelerated Schedule, Rigorous and Demanding
Recognizing that many busy executives and professionals want to further their education while do not have two years to spend on campus, the MBA program on the C.W. Post campus runs on an accelerated schedule of one year. This schedule enables the qualified students to complete 20 required courses in 12 months, from September to August of the following year:

The program is rigorous and demands high academic standard. The requirement of 20 courses is equal to or more than that of many two-years MBA programs. Therefore, students who apply to enter this MBA program must be prepared to study hard.
Depending on the number of students enrolled, the MBA program offers concentrations in: General Management, Finance, Organizational Behavior, Marketing, and Management Information Systems.
The 20 required courses, 3 credits each, are made up of 8 foundation courses and 12 core courses. The 8 foundation courses remain the same for all concentrations. The core courses will vary depending on the concentration. The courses for General Management concentration are listed below.

Who Can Apply
Students who have completed four years of college education from an accredited college, university or professional school are welcome to apply for enrollment. In addition to the academic performance, the program takes into consideration a student’s work experience and leadership quality. Students who are deficient in certain areas may make up by taking some courses in the undergraduate or graduate school at Long Island University. Current students came from a diverse background: Economics, Engineering, Arts, Nursing, Business, and Physical Sciences.

TOEFL, GMAT and I-20
Foreign students who have taken TOEFL should submit the TOEFL report with their university admission applications. However, the University will issue I-20 Forms to the students who have met all other admission requirements without a TOEFL report. In lieu of the TOEFL requirement, those students who have not taken TOEFL or whose TOEFL score is less than 500 must complete a special English course for foreign students in the first semester at Long Island University.

GMAT with a satisfactory score is required. However, the University will issue I-20 Forms to the students who have met all other admission requirements without a GMAT score. These students must take GMAT and attain a satisfactory score sometime within the first semester. Long Island University is a GMAT test site. Students will have several opportunities to take the GMAT test before the end of the first semester. In evaluating the GMAT score, the university will take into consideration the student’s course work and academic standing at the time of evaluation.
