I would like to introduce my company and myself
to you. My name is Jill LaChance and I am the Director of Groups
for CETUSA, Council for Educational Travel, USA. Our company provides
students of all ages the opportunity to come to America on a home
stay program.
CETUSA was established in 1995. CETUSA has grown from a small
office in Switzerland to a worldwide organization. We have offices
and representatives in Albania, Bulgaria, Russia, Switzerland,
Canada, England, Germany, Cypress, Hungary, and Moldavia and throughout
the United States. Most of our foreign students prefer coming
to the United States, California in particular, for the home stay
program.
We can design a program specifically for your school. Below is
a brief description of our “normal” program that may
give you an idea of what we offer.
CETUSA Group Home Stay
We can accommodate your students anytime during the year. The
most popular times are spring and summer months but you certainly
are not limited to those times. The programs are usually conducted
like this:
2 to 4 weeks of home stay with an American family
airport transfers to their host family homes and back to the airport
of arrival
12 hours of English per week
1 full day trip to an exciting location (Disneyland, Universal
Studios, Hollywood) per week.
2 half-day excursions (shopping, museums, city tours, beaches,
parks, cultural events) per week
A welcome party when they arrive and a farewell party before they
depart.
All students will stay with a prescreened American family. They
will have close contact with their coordinator who will make certain
each student is doing well throughout the entire home stay.
In addition to the short-term home stay we also have the more
traditional academic high school and college programs. Your students
will stay with a prescreened host family and have close contact
with their counselor. This program can be for one semester or
for the entire school year. Each student will be assisted in acquiring
a visa. The counselor will assist each student in the enrollment
process at the local high school or college.
